Cayote, Cavegirl of the Month for May ‘06!
Thats right kiddos! Cayote AKA Katie is May Cavegirl of the month! Cayote is the founder of the Cavegirls, and one of the most awesomest (yea, its a word!) person that I know! She has worked very hard in creating and maintaining this group and building it from nothing into the great community that we have here. She has recognized many of us as cavegirls of the month, and now it is time to recgonize our founder! Thanks for all the work you do!
Now, as Cavegirl of the month, you get to ask Cayote anything you want. I’ll go first.
Please tell us the story of how you started this group and why.
Awwwww You are Awesome Zoom! I feel like setting up the campfire now, and we can all settle in to tell stories-but I was pretty sure most knew how and why I started this group. But for those of you that don’t know-here goes……….
I was the “typical” girl in matchmaking, and on the forums that did not enjoy all the guys she played with-and felt very overwhelmed by the treatment I got. Plus being married I didn’t think I should have only guys on my friends list. I didn’t know if I would find other girls like me who liked to game-whether for fun, or more serious. I was even told by most of these guys that it wouldn’t work-and that I should just join PMS or some other already established girl clan. Well I didn’t like that answer-and wanted to make my own group. So I did. And it started out with a few close guy friends of mine-and probably a second account by me-just so I could keep it here (You have to have at least 3 members to keep a group) Then I met Zoom-Do you remember how Zoom? I don’t think I can remember anymore! Then I met others and all of you! We booted the guys out and called it an all girl group! And it rocked! And it still does! I was pretty viligent in the beginning-advertising in the classifieds-reading the forums looking for other girl posters like me-I even talked to guys who mentioned thier wives or girlfriends playing-and asked if they would like to join. It was fun telling the story to some over the weekend that asked-when we were playing on Saturday night. And I always love telling this story. I think that is it.

hmmm so let me think of a question, how about a simple one.
How long have you been gaming?
I remember playing Q-bert and Kangaroo on Atari when I was 6 or 7 I think. Then we had a sega for a while-I loved Sonic! I never got into Nintendo too much-just because we didn’t have one-but alot of my friends played. Then I put gaming down for a while-and saw it as something kids did-until I got married, found Halo, and the Sims. : )

When you were a kid… what did you want to be when you grew up???
I wanted to be a veterinarian.

Starting this group from scratch and building it into the well recognized and respected group that it is cannot be applauded enough. I appreciate all that you have done and continue to do to make the Cavegirls a “safe” place for us. : )
I was fortunate enough to meet Katie in real life and I know she is just as sweet and personable in real life as she is online. I can’t wait to go to Seattle again!

What has been the most significant moment of your life so far?
Meeting and marrying my husband. Teehee-I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him (gaming) but that is not why it is significant! 
I love him!
Are there any life goals you are currently working on?
Unfortunately no. But I usually try to work on my personal and spiritual life on a constant basis. We are trying to find a house to buy-thats a goal.
What is your favorite dessert?
Ice Cream.
Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night Owl definitely.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT GAMING???
That I get to be someone else, do things I wouldn’t normally do in real life. Like throw grenades at people, snipe them, then drive a warthog off the cliff!

Ok… what’s your most embarassing moment (that you’re willing to share)?
I don’t get too embarresed any more-but in highschool my shorts split while we were doing weightlifting-and everyone saw my underwear!

Tali, I don’t know that show! haha! So do you mean, who is a character that is like me? or who would I want to play? If its the latter-I will play some bad ass -blam!–biker leather wearing chick-or something like that! Is there someone like that on the show?
What was your very first thought meeting Zoom in real life?
Heehee, I don’t remember really, I was just glad to meet her! But I remember the first words out of her mouth to Paul and I were “Geesh, you guys are tall!
What would you like to see this group grow into? What are your future plans for the Cavegirls?
Tough Questions! 
I’d have to think about this, but I guess I’d like to see it grow into whatever we want it to be. The girls next door, The Cavegirls-bigger than life! And PMS! Who knows! Or just a place for girls to continue to come to meet other girls who game!
Which Cavegirl are you going to leave your future children to in your will should you and Paul both die?
BS Angel of course! Except we don’t plan on having kids any time soon-so maybe someone will just have to take the cat!
