IndianPrincess, Cavegirl of the Month for June ‘06!
One day in Matchmaking, I met Indian Princess. It’s usually obvious that there is another girl in the room, but one can never be sure-so I made the usual joke “omg is there a girl playing halo?” or something like that. I guess she thought it was funny because she accepted my friend request. I was playing with Shoelace Pirate at the time and she had to go, and when she left Indian Princess, aka Talli said, “She is a Cavegirl?” I said yes. And snickered to myself, because my Cayote gt was not in the Cavegirls at the time. Then I was sad because I was thinking “but I’m a cavegirl too!”
I thought it was humorous. Besides having a great new friend, I have met many new friends because of Talli. She is a hoot to play with and I adore her completely! I can’t think of anything more to say right now, so without further ado I introduce you to Indian Princess! June Cavegirl of the Month!
Talli, How long have you been gaming? And how did you get started?
I guess I’ve been gaming in one way or another for most of my life. My brother is much older than me, and he set up an atari in the basement when I was around six or seven that I played Pacman on. As things go, that went away and I discovered number munchers on the crap apples at my elementary school. I was the top score (even beating Mr. French, the fourth grade teacher, and boy did he hate that lol) for years and years, even after I moved on to middle school. Beyond number munchers, though, we would occasionally rent an SNES when my friend Stephanie would come in from out of town and play Donkey Kong Country. Fun, fun, game. Through the next years, until halo, I would occasionally play telnet muds and Donkey Kong on my ancient SNES.
Describe your perfect date.
Oooh, the tough one! Truthfully, I’m a simple girl– cook me dinner, hang out under the stars, make wishes… you know the drill. ![]()
What do you enjoy outside of gaming?
I love reading and traveling… Figure skating, football, and soccer are my favorite sports, and I love going to sporting events. The atmosphere is awesome. Aside from that, though, I like cooking, having friends over and hanging out. Wow, this question is making me realize I have no life! lol
What is your favorite season?
Fall. I’m from the Mississippi river valley, which is lined with bluffs full of trees that change amazing colors in the fall… apple picking, my birthday, my best friends’ birthdays; good things happen in fall. Football and figure skating seasons start!
Primal Fear :
What’s your favorite game of all time?
Tetris! I’ve been playing that game forever and ever and it never gets old.
Clobberella :
Why are you such a noob? (LOL)
Aw, thanks Clobbie! I know you’re just saying that because the artichoke chicken was the bomb last night, though. And in answer to your question, I am a noob because of the people I live with. Proximity and all that. hehehe
If you could live in any time period, which would it be, and why?
Truthfully? This one, or any future ones. I couldn’t imagine living without technology. Although, if you made me pick a different one I’d go for the matriarchal societies of ancient Crete. Pre-warchief. Cuz, come on, how cool would it be for women to be kicking ass in government?
Venus Envy :
Outta all your fan club of boys who would you wanna have halo babies with the most & why?!
Hmmm… well, I’d pick will or sky to have native halo babies, and evo to have LOA babies, and Eric to have Mexican halo babies. But I’m pretty sure Eric would leave me for some hot model, destitute and trying to support and discipline 18 halo babies, so for long-term halo baby raisin’ I’d probably pick Deadpool. At least I know he’d pay child support! lol
What’s the one place you’d love to travel/see the most?
New Zealand, definitely.
Do you ever get sick of me bugging you all the time while you are at work?! HAHA i heart texting you to death! muhahaha!
You know, at least if you don’t assume I don’t love you anymore if I don’t text you back right away! lol But anyways, no, I love getting texts from you! Even if it does take me awhile to return them.
Besides Halo 3, whats a next-gen game that you are most looking forward too?
Ooooh… Well, for xbox, definitely Gears of War and Forza Motorsport 2. Chainsaws and fast cars, what could be a better combo, hmm? But really, I’m totally looking forward to the Wii. That -blam!- looks like fun. And as I’ve said before, any console that allows me to say with a straight face “No, after work I’m going to play with my friend’s Wii” is a-ok with me!
Tinkerbell :
Whats it like to have a Cavegirl for a roommate?
It’s great! Once you get around the whole unshaven pits and constant uga-ugaing (”Uga-uga? Uga-uga-uga!”) it’s pretty cool. We’ve got a sweet gaming setup and it’s nice to have another girl in the house, even if I do have to explain to the neighbors why she walks all stooped and with a club. (It scares the children a bit.)
Who labeled you Talli and how did that come about?
Well, I labeled myself Talli after reading Uhura’s Song when I was in first grade. There was an alien feline character named Snannagfashtalli, and I kiped the last two syllables to use in the top 10 listing of number munchers. I’ve been using it ever since.
Do you have any big/fun plans for the near future? If so what?
Big plans- moving. We need more space, especially since there’s three of us now. Fun plans– Cayote is coming in August! Woot!
If you could be any video game character, who would it be?
I would be… Hmm. This one’s harder than I thought it would be. My initial thought was Princess from Mario Brothers, but her wussy “save me! oh please, save me!” talk doesn’t jive with a feminist, can-do attitude. I guess maybe Lara Croft, but I never played the game, only saw the movies.
