Penny Arcade Expo!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were dominated by PAX out here in Bungieland. PAX is a gaming “festival”, in their words. There were a ton of events going down all weekend, you could go to them all and never feel like they were getting repetitive. There were all sorts of games on display from video games, tabletop games to role playing games. Along with the displays in the exhibition hall there were many panels , of particular relevance to Bungie fans were one in which Frankie participated and another which the RvB guys hosted. Of course Tycho and Gabe (Penny Arcade’s founding fathers) participated in a few panels of their own. They even had various tournaments running the entire time (including Halo 2) and musical concerts on Friday and Saturday night.

Welcome to the Date Night summary, outline shamelessly ripped from the depths of Bungie’s Life & Style section. Last Saturday, while not exactly a raging success (more like an issue-ridden not-dry run that should have been a dry run), did offer enough fun for a write-up and ensuing events. We had two rooms, the Shoulda-Been-Drunks (and shoulda-played-earliers) and the Drunks. While not everyone was a goner in the second room, enough were to amuse the rest into submission.

IndianPrincess, Cavegirl of the Month for June ‘06!

One day in Matchmaking, I met Indian Princess. It’s usually obvious that there is another girl in the room, but one can never be sure-so I made the usual joke “omg is there a girl playing halo?” or something like that. I guess she thought it was funny because she accepted my friend request. I was playing with Shoelace Pirate at the time and she had to go, and when she left Indian Princess, aka Talli said, “She is a Cavegirl?” I said yes. And snickered to myself, because my Cayote gt was not in the Cavegirls at the time. Then I was sad because I was thinking “but I’m a cavegirl too!” I thought it was humorous. Besides having a great new friend, I have met many new friends because of Talli. She is a hoot to play with and I adore her completely! I can’t think of anything more to say right now, so without further ado I introduce you to Indian Princess! June Cavegirl of the Month!

Cayote, Cavegirl of the Month for May ‘06!

Thats right kiddos! Cayote AKA Katie is May Cavegirl of the month! Cayote is the founder of the Cavegirls, and one of the most awesomest (yea, its a word!) person that I know! She has worked very hard in creating and maintaining this group and building it from nothing into the great community that we have here. She has recognized many of us as cavegirls of the month, and now it is time to recgonize our founder! Thanks for all the work you do!

Clobberella, Cavegirl of the Month for January ‘06!

Without much hesitation it was determinded that Clobberella is the Cavegirl of the Month of January!! I know a little late..but it’s worth it!!! This girl is great! She’s been here since the early days and has always been involved as much as possible! And for that this is our way of saying thankyou!
